2 teens seriously injured in Tooele County rollover on SR-36

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, July 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two teenage boys were transported to the hospital by medical helicopter after the Land Rover they were in overturned on State Route 36 on Monday.

Utah Highway Patrol said in a news release that the single-vehicle crash happened at 7:26 p.m. near milepost 8.

The northbound Land Rover went off SR-36 to the right and then back to the left before overturning.

The youths, ages 16 and 15, were wearing seat belts. They were both flown out, one in serious condition, and the other in critical condition with possible life-threatening injuries, UHP said.

The road was closed for only 10 to 15 minutes and traffic was not affected.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
