Oct. 3, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Three people with ties to Utah were being remembered Tuesday after they were killed in the mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

Neysa Tonks, 46, lived in Las Vegas, but was previously from Salt Lake City.

A single mother of three sons, Tonks worked for Irvine, Calif.-based computer software company Technologent.

The company posted a tribute to her on its website, saying in part:

“The Technologent family lost one of our own in this tragedy. A great mother, colleague and friend, Neysa Tonks. She leaves behind three boys — Kaden, Braxton and Greysen.  Neysa has brought so much joy, fun and laughter to Technologent — she will be greatly missed by all!”

Technologent set up a GoFundMe page in her name. As of Tuesday morning, it had raised $93,202 of its $100,000 goal.

Cameron Robinson, 28, lived in the St. George area and drove to work in Las Vegas, where he was a legal records specialist for the city.

He was attending the Route 91 Harvest country music festival Sunday night with his boyfriend when he was shot and killed.

Robinson is being remembered as “an amazing friend, son, brother, uncle, cousin, coworker and boyfriend…”

“He loved to cook, entertain, run marathons, travel, go camping, boating, and the outdoors in general and above all surround himself with those he loved and others.”

A GoFundMe page for Cameron Robinson has been established to help with funeral and medical expenses. As of Tuesday morning, it had raised $7,070 of its $15,000 goal.

A news release from Cedar City Police Sgt. Jerry Womack Tuesday morning also confirmed the wife of Cedar City firefighter Albert Alvarado, Heather Warino Alvarado, passed away as a result of the shooting.

“It was confirmed late Monday night by Las Vegas Metro Police that she has succumbed to injuries suffered as result of the tragic shooting in Las Vegas,” the news release said. “Our
thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Alvarado/Warino family.

“At the family’s request we are asking for you to respect their privacy and give them a chance to grieve and process their loss.”

An account has been opened at State Bank of Southern Utah in Heather Alvarado’s name, for anyone who would like to donate.
