Body of missing Sandy teen believed found in river in Idaho

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho, July 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A body believed to be that of a missing Sandy boy was recovered Wednesday near the Teton Dam, where he went missing while swimming.

Justin Grass, 14, was last seen at about 3 p.m. on June 24 after he jumped into the Teton River, which was said to have a strong undercurrent that day. According to information from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, searchers had looked for the body every day since Grass went missing.

A body believed to be that of Grass was recovered at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday after being found and reported by fishermen. Identification will not be made official until it is confirmed by an autopsy.
