GRANTSVILLE, Utah, June 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Vehicles ablaze in a wrecking yard kept firefighters busy for hours early Tuesday morning.

Grantsville Fire Chief Rob Critchlow told Gephardt Daily the call came in at about 12:45 a.m. reporting a fire in the area of 400 S. Center St.

When crews arrived, they found six cars fully engulfed in flames.

At 4 a.m., the exhausted firefighters were still on scene, checking for any hot spots.

There were no injuries in this incident, and no structures were threatened at any time.

Critchlow did not have a dollar estimate of damages.

He said the cause of the blaze has yet to be determined, and the State Fire Marshal will be handling the investigation.

A total of about 15 firefighters responded from Grantsville FD and North Tooele County Fire District.
