TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 22, 2013 (Gephardt Daily) — A former Grantsville High School football coach is facing a dozen new sex-related charges related to a case involving two female students, ages 16 and 17.

Curtis Lee Ware, 48 and a Stansbury Park resident, will be in court Tuesday to hear the new charges: one first-degree felony count of forcible sodomy, four second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, four counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse, and three misdemeanor charges of lewdness.

Court documents alleged that the incidents happened between May 23 and Aug. 26 of this year.

The initial arrest was made in September after the students talked with their principal. At that time, Ware was charged by Grantsville City with sexual battery and lewdness. Both are misdemeanor charges.

The additional charges were filed over the weekend by the Tooele County Attorney’s office following additional investigation, including examination of cell phone images.

Ware is accused of engaging in oral sex with the 17 year old in Iron County, but the case will be handled in Tooele County.
