K-9 drug bust takes meth off streets in Farmington

FARMINGTON, Utah, July 24, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Farmington police have arrested a man for possession of drugs and paraphernalia after Centerville Police Department K-9 drug-detection dog Zsiga detected the drugs during a traffic stop.

Curtis L. Clemons, 47, was booked Thursday into the Davis County Jail on five counts: suspicion of possession or use of a controlled substance; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute; possession or use of drug paraphernalia; and two traffic-related violations.

The Centerville Police Department celebrated the arrest with a Facebook post:

Nice job CPD Officer Boucher and K9 Zsiga ! That was a good amount of Meth taken off the streets. This was from a traffic stop made by Farmington PD who called for K9 Zsiga to come take a sniff, unfortunately for the meth dealer Zsiga came through!
