SLCPD seeks 2 suspects in Pioneer Park homicide case; men caught on video

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 3, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men sought in connection with an unsolved homicide that happened in July near Pioneer Park.

The murder occurred early on the morning of July 26 on 400 West between 300 and 400 South.

The two men, shown in a grainy surveillance recording, are described as:

  • A white or Hispanic man wearing a dark colored baseball cap with a white logo, a dark colored hoodie with an unknown logo on the front, dark shorts, short white socks, and low-top black and white shoes, possibly Converse Chuck Taylor’s. He was carrying a bag or purse.
  • An African American man wearing a dark hat, white T-shirt, dark hooded jacket, dark-colored pants and white sneakers.

A reward for the successful conviction of the men may be available, according to information from the SLCPD.
