Victim’s family offers reward in South Salt Lake murder; new photos released of suspect’s vehicle

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, May 11, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The family of murder victim Matthew Holt, who was shot on Easter in a parking lot near the area of 3200 South 900 West, is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, apprehension and conviction of his killer.

In addition, the South Salt Lake Police Department has released three new photos of what is believed to be the suspect’s vehicle, a 2012-2016 silver Chevrolet Sonic Hatchback with a sunroof.

Police are seeking information from people who were near the Jordan River Parkway Trail, at 3110 South, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday.

Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle or the person responsible for the death of Holt is asked to call South Salt Lake Police Dispatch at 801-840-4000. All calls are confidential and callers can remain anonymous.
