Update: Woman dead after 2-vehicle accident in Manti identified

MANTI, Utah, May 22, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) –The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the woman who died after a two-car collision Sunday night in Manti.

The victim was Marilynn J. Wilde, 80, of Manti.

According to information from the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 9:50 p.m. when a green Subaru, driven by Wilde, failed to stop and entered the intersection of 200 North and Main Street.

A white SUV hit the Subaru on the driver’s side. Wilde was not wearing a seat belt and suffered critical injuries. She was transported by medical helicopter, but died prior to arrival at the hospital.

The SUV’s two occupants had their seat belts on. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
