CHICAGO, Jan. 28 (UPI) — A Chicago condo listed for $158,000 comes with a “groovy” and unusual feature — the original decor from the early 1970s.

The 1,877-square-foot West Rogers Park condo, which boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms, was built in 1972 and professionally decorated shortly after it was finished.

Lauri Rosenbloom of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services-Starck Real Estate said the furniture and decor is all original to the apartment and hasn’t been updated in the last four decades.

Rosenbloom said there was no interest when the condo was listed a few days ago, but calls have been flooding in since it was re-listed last week.

“I just can only imagine that everybody’s gone retro,” Rosenbloom told WGN-TV.

She said callers have expressed a particular interest in the condo’s wallpaper.

“If they could, they’d take the wallpaper off the walls and cart it out,” she said.

The far north side condo, which is described as “groovy” in its Zillow listing, is being offered “as is.”
