Impatient Ferry Passenger Nearly Crushed by Walkway
CARACAS, Venezuela, June 10 (UPI) — An online video of a ferry coming ashore captured the moment an impatient passenger stepped off the walkway too soon and was nearly crushed by the boat.
The video, believed to have been shot in South America and shared on YouTube, shows the man moving down the walkway while the ferry is still moving toward shore and falling to the ground, where he is nearly crushed by the walkway making contact with the ground.
A fellow ferry passenger darts to the man’s rescue and pulls him out of the path of the walkway at what appears to be the last possible second.
Reddit users said voices that can be heard speaking Spanish in the video appear to be saying the man was “almost killed” by the walkway. They posited the Spanish slang used by the voices indicates the video was shot in Venezuela.
