SF man’s ventriloquist dummy stolen in mugging

July 23 (UPI) — Police in San Francisco said a man was mugged and the two assailants made off with his ventriloquist dummy.

Police said the victim was physically assaulted and the suspects fled with the dummy. The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. Thursday in the city’s Polk Gulch neighborhood.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, police have not identified the suspects, who are believed to be between 25 and 30 years old.

The victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and police said he was listed in stable condition on Friday.

Investigators offered no motive for the crime.
