Teen Gored By Yellowstone Bison
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, WY., – May 16, 2015Â (Gephardt Daily) –Â A 16-year old exchange student was seriously injured Friday after being gored by a bison in Yellowstone National Park.
According to the U.S. National Park Service, the Taiwanese girl was hiking with her host family near the Old Faithful geyser basin when they joined other tourists watching bison graze just a few feet from the trail’s edge.
Witnesses say the girl was posing for a photo when she was suddenly attacked.
The teen was taken by park rangers to the Old Faithful Clinic where she was airlifted to a local trauma center.
Rangers say her injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
