LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 (UPI) — Actress Kat Dennings and singer, songwriter Josh Groban reportedly have called it quits have nearly two years of dating.
“It was a mutual breakup,” a source explained to E! News. “They are still friends and care about each other, but it’s not the right time for them now as a couple.”
Dennings, 30, and Groban, 35, made their red carpet debut as a couple in October after Dennings’ “2 Broke Girls” costar Beth Behrs brought them together.
Previously, Groban shared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that their shared geek interests and sense of humor brought them closer together as a couple.
“Humor is such a huge thing for me, so you know, the fact that we could talk about ‘Monty Python‘ and all sorts of weird things, I was like, ‘Okay yeah, we’re on the same page,” he said on the daytime show at the time.
Dennings will be returning to “2 Broke Girls” this October while Groban prepares to star in stage play, “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1982” the same month.
