Feb. 17 (UPI) — Melanie Lynskey recently got engaged to longtime love Jason Ritter.
The 39-year-old New Zealand actress announced her engagement to the 36-year-old American actor on Thursday’s episode of “Hollywood Today Live.”
“Now he’s my fiancé,” Lynskey said when asked about her “boyfriend.” “I’m announcing it.”
“[Jason proposed] on the sofa,” she added with a laugh. “No, [I didn’t know it was coming. We’ve been together] about four years. We did a movie together.”
Lynskey and Ritter have co-starred in “The Big Ask” (2013), “We’ll Never Have Paris” (2014) and “The Intervention” (2016). The actress dedicated a sweet post to Ritter on Valentine’s Day this week.
“ONLY because it’s Valentine’s Day @jasonritter,” she captioned a gif of two dinosaurs kissing.
