SPANISH FORK, Utah, Jan. 24, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Suspected shooter Justin Llewelyn, wanted after police say he shot at multiple officers and put three bullets into an area resident while stealing a pickup truck, has been taken into custody.

Details are still emerging, but the Salt Lake City Police Department confirmed with a tweet that Llewelyn is in custody.

Llewelyn, 33, was wanted after an incident Saturday that involved police in Herriman and Riverton, and community lockdowns that lasted more than six hours while police searched a large containment area.

According to reports, a police officer spotted Llewelyn at a Provo park earlier today, and a chase ensued.

Spikes were deployed and a PIT maneuver was performed.

Spencer Cannon, public information officer for the Utah Count Sheriff’s Office, has confirmed that a deputy was injured Wednesday afternoon in the takedown.

  1. DA’s office offered immunity to the second person involved in the shooting/actual shooter. This second person had a gun that night, has changed his story 3 or more times and his testimony in court is false based off the facts and evidence. This second person got caught with a stolen vehicle and a car full of stolen guns in st george about 2 months ago. There was an anonymous tip that claimed it was justin but they didn’t know there was two people there and no evidence specifically points at justin. If you want the full info please contact me.
