WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Feb. 9, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials said they are questioning a person of interest in their investigation into a suspected homicide Saturday night at Windsor Estates Trailer Park.

According to a tweet at about 10 p.m. from West Valley City Police Department, the deceased person is a woman in her 40s.

The individual who is being questioned in her death “is an adult male who is known to the victim.”

Police were dispatched at about 6:24 p.m. to the mobile home park at 3292 W. Chester Park Drive.

WVCPD spokesperson Roxanne Vainuku said the emergency call indicated that someone was in medical trouble or dying of a heart attack, but when officers arrived, they found “significant evidence” that a homicide had occurred inside the trailer.

Officers determined that there was no threat or danger to anyone and immediately secured the scene and stepped back from the trailer. A search warrant was requested so that a thorough investigation could be conducted inside.

In the meantime, Vainuku said, investigators were talking with neighbors and possible witnesses, and checking for any evidence in the surrounding area.

As of late Saturday night, police had not released the name of the victim or how she died.

Gephardt Daily will update this developing story as more details are made available.
