Update: U of U seeks public’s help solving sexual assault case, releases pics of suspect’s vehicle

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 14, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The University of Utah’s Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect in an attempted sexual assault that occurred early Saturday morning.

The incident happened on campus just past 12 a.m. in the area of 500 South near Rice-Eccles Stadium.

The suspect is described as a white man with short, dark hair, wearing jeans and a dark jacket.

His vehicle is a dark color, possibly blue, black or purple, 1998 to 2002 Toyota Tacoma extended cab.

A dark-colored utility toolbox is mounted in the bed of the truck, and there is a dark color bug deflector on the front hood. The vehicle has aluminum alloy wheels and possibly a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) sticker on the truck bed.
