Breaking: 1 dead, 1 wounded in Salt Lake City apartment shooting

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 26, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City Police officers and detectives are at the scene of a double shooting Tuesday night at the Windsor Park Apartments.

The “shots fired” incident was reported shortly before 9 p.m. by at least one neighbor in the building at 1798 W. 700 North.

Police arrived to find a man and woman in an apartment, both with gunshot wounds.

According to police on scene, the man had been shot in the head and the woman had a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Both were transported to area hospitals in extremely critical condition.

While police were being tight-lipped about their investigation an officer confirmed to Gephardt Daily that one of the victims had died from their injuries.

So far, the police are working on the possibility that the incident involved a domestic dispute. Detectives are currently investigating the scene, and SLCPD is expected to provide more information as soon as they have more details.
