KLEBERG COUNTY, Texas, Nov. 7, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Logan man has been booked into jail in Texas after border photos appear to show him driving the vehicle of a murdered New Hampshire couple south over the Mexican border.
Adam Curtis Williams, 33, was arrested in Jalisco, Mexico, and booked into Texas’ Kleberg County Jail Wednesday on existing warrants. He is being held on $1 million bail.
Williams is suspected in the murders of James and Michelle Butler, 48 and 46, who were who were found buried in the sand of Padres Island on Oct. 27. The body of James, a Navy veteran, was found beneath that of his wife.
The Nueces County medical examiner, in Corpus Christi, ruled the deaths homicides.
The couple, who traveled full time in their RV, had set up camp on the beach during the week of Oct. 15, parking their truck and recreational vehicle on the site. They had been reported missing by family members on Oct. 23.
The border-crossing photo captured a man later identified as Williams driving the Butlers’ RV. In the passenger seat was a woman later identified as Amanda Noverr, Williams’ partner and now classified as a person of interest in the case.
According to reports, Noverr remains in Texas with the couple’s 3-year-old child.
Utah charges
Williams currently faces charges in Utah of object rape, forcible sodomny and forcible sexaul abuse in connection with an April 18, 2019 case.
In an Aug. 4, 2019 case, he faces two charges of aggravated assault, assault by a prisoner, interference with an arresting officer, intoxication and unlawful purchase by an interdicted person.
His criminal history, as listed in Utah online court documents, dates back to 2004.
There should not be any amount of bail listed for this “Monster”. It should be a NO Bail hold. He should Never, Ever see the light of day for what he did to this poor couple. They are gone and never coming back. I feel so very bad for them and their family.
