FBI seeks help identifying ‘Holiday Bandit’ after Utah bank robberies

UTAH, Jan. 4, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying a serial bank robber who has been hitting financial institutions in Utah.

The man, dubbed The Holiday Bandit by the FBI, is believed to be white or Hispanic, and stands 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with brown hair and eyes, information from the FBI says.

Officials believe he robbed banks on Nov. 20, 23, Dec. 6, 12, 24, 27 and 28. The institutions hit were in Salt Lake City, Midvale, Kearns, and North Salt Lake.

On Nov. 23, he wore a green knit hat and a tan jacket. On Dec. 12, he wore a puffy jacket with a hood and a sweatshirt underneath.

On Dec. 27, he wore a long, black jacket with blue jeans and red gloves, with a fake wig and fake moustache. On Dec. 28, the man wore a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, gloves and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect pictured is asked to contact the FBI’s Salt Lake City Field Office at 801-579-1400.
