May 9 (UPI) — Frontier Airlines announced nine new routes Tuesday and expansion into two new cities, the carrier said.

Frontier said it will double its number of destinations with six new flights from Jacksonville, Fla., in August.

The Denver-based airline will also expand service to Wichita, Kan., and Norfolk, Va.

Daniel Shurz, Frontier senior vice president, said the additional routes empower more people to fly while keeping sight of the company’s “Low Fares Done Right” philosophy.

The new round-trip routes include Norfolk and Wichita to Denver; Norfolk and Orlando, Fla.; and Jacksonville and Buffalo, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and St. Louis.
