From What To Give To Where To Go, We Have Your Valentine’s Day Ideas Here

valentines-day

This year Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday. What does that mean to for those who are wanting to take that special someone out to show them how much they mean to them? It can mean long wait times, hassles, and headaches, but we are here to help make it a memorable experience without all that.

First things first… the gift? Many men and women only want this day to signify how they feel. It doesn’t need to be defined by how expensive the gifts are or where you bought them. A small token of love and appreciation is certain to make the night more memorable.

We found several places that offer great gifts for a very reasonable price but our favorite are these two:

We suggest trying Groupon for their amazing deals, up to 70% off on anything from jewelry to perfume to flowers from FTD.

We also found some great local deals from KSL that we think you should check out. From local dining places, to couples massages, jewelry and more, KSL is a great option for gifts.

How about where to eat?

If you’re looking to take your partner out to dinner we suggest you book your reservations early. Many restaurants are doing specials.

Looking for somewhere to stay? Here are some Valentine’s day packages and fun ideas that you’re sure to love:

The Grand America is offering an accommodations package:

From $229/night, this package includes:

  • Accommodations for two
  • The Grand Spa Retail – Chymia gift set
  • VIP Amenity – Box of 2 macaroons
  • Complimentary self-parking

The Anniversary Inn has some good packages but they cannot be used for that specific night, might be good if you can’t make it out for Valentine’s night

KSL Deals also has a section for local getaways that you may also want to consider for the weekend.

How about something different? Check out what we found is going on around town on Valentine’s Day:

Megaplex Theaters is offering their ‘All Inclusive Valentine’s Date’ special. For $99.00 at select theaters you can get:

  • Dinner for 2 served buffet Style
  • Reserved seating for 2 to a movie of your choice
  • Large popcorn to share with a free refill
  • 2 large drinks
  • Take home rose and treat
  • Couples activity
  • Photo opportunity

Thanksgiving Point has a wonderful event planned as well, their ‘Valentine’s Dinner Dance’ priced at $55.00 includes:

  • Professional Photo
  • Exceptional Dinner
  • Dancing from 7-10 p.m.

How about a sleigh ride? There are two options for a ride through the snow with your loved one:

Boulder Mountain Ranch: Starting at $150.00 for up to five people. Might be a nice idea to take the family or possibly splitting the ride with another couple could also be fun.

Canyons Resort: For $125.00 for up to five people you can get a half-hour ride through the snow at the Resort. Both options suggest calling ahead for reservations

We also found a couple of romantic events going on Abravanel Hall and Capitol Theater we wanted to share with you:

Ballet West: Their annual “Swan Lake” performance at Capitol Theater is always a great idea. There are still plenty of seats to their 2 p.m. Matinee or their 7:30 p.m. show left.

Utah Symphony: “A Streisand Songbook” is a beautiful way to spend the evening. Ann Hampton Callaway will be celebrating the music of Barbra Streisand both Friday the 13th and Saturday 14th at 8 p.m.

Hopefully these suggestions have given you a little more peace of mind when it comes to showing your love and appreciation to those you care about the most. We have given you the ideas, now it’s up to you to make the right move.
