REDMOND, Wash., Dec. 9 (UPI) — A new application for Microsoft’s Xbox One gaming console will allow users to virtually try on clothes in their home.

The app, known as The Mall on Xbox One, uses the game system’s Kinect camera add-on to display images of the user wearing clothes from a number of different outlets.

The motion-sensing camera displays the clothes superimposed on the user’s body in real time.

The application launched in the United States on Tuesday and allows users to purchase from brands including SoccerPro, Style PB, Grayers and Go2Games, with more to come, Engadget reported.

After browsing the shops’ selections, users can purchase the clothes through the PowaTag smartphone app by scanning a QR code.
