Red Rock Introduces St. Patrick’s Day Beer and Menu Pairings

SALT LAKE CITY, March 16, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Red Rock Brewery is gearing up for St. Patrick’s Day with themed beers and menu items.

Hibernian Ale is a very malty, Irish style ale, which is clean filtered and reddish brown in color. The Hibernian Society, which this is named after, is an international organization of Irish culture. Scottish Ale is a copper to brown in colored brew with a higher level of unfermentable sugars which create a rich mouthfeel and malty flavors and aromas.

Red Rock’s master chef Eric Holmes said the Scottish Ale goes well with the smoked salmon appetizer that comes with cream cheese, capers and sourdough baguettes. He said: “It’s really nice with the smokiness of the salmon. We are also doing a corned beef and cabbage dish, very traditional, and then we’re also going to do a soup along the same lines.” Red Rock also has a bread pudding dessert with a Irish whisky caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Red Rock is downtown at 254 S. 200 West, at Fashion Place Mall at 6227 S. State St. and in Park City at 1640 W. Redstone Center Drive. There is also a beer store downtown at 443 N. 400 West.
