LOS ANGELES, June 1 (UPI) — A 13-year-old opera singer on “America’s Got Talent” blew away judges and audience members alike with her performance of “Nessun Dorma.”

The young songstress, Laura Bretan, earned the golden buzzer for the show’s 11th season, a standing ovation and rare praise from infamously tough judge Simon Cowell.

“That just happened. I have never heard anything like that in all the years I’ve been doing this show. Seriously,” Cowell told Bretan following her performance. “It was unbelievable. What made it even better is the fact that you are such a sweet person. So humble. Not even aware of how amazing you are.”

Judge Mel B. also showered the young girl in praise.

“I think that this show is going to completely change your life, and I’m going to change your life, right now,” she said before handing her the buzzer, which allows Bretan to be sent straight to the live shows later in the season.

“You literally made all my hairs stand up on end,” Mel B. added.

Backstage, Breton told host Nick Cannon the audition was a “dream come true.”

“I’ve been waiting for this for so long,” she added.
