T.J. Miller to Host the Critics’ Choice Awards Show

NEW YORK – December 12, 2015 — (UPI) — Actor and comedian T.J. Miller is to host the 21st annual Critics’ Choice Awards ceremony in Santa Monica on Jan. 17.

“We are thrilled to have T.J. join us as host of this exciting night,” Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president of programming for A&E, said in a statement Friday. “His quick wit and unique sense of humor serve as the perfect paring as we celebrate the best of television and film together for the first time.”

The 3-hour gala at the Barker Hangar will air on A&E, Lifetime and LMN. The prizes are presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association. Previously, the honors for film and TV were distributed at separate ceremonies.

Miller, 34, is known for his work on HBO’s Silicon Valley, as well as in the films How to Train Your Dragon 2, Cloverfield, She’s Out of My League, Seeking a Friend for End of the World, Our Idiot Brother and Get Him to the Greek.

A note about the event – Gephardt Daily will be there on the red carpet, at the awards and at the afterparty.
