Utah Film Critics Give ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Top Honors For 2015

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 21, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Film Critics have spoken!

In their yearly vote, which took place Monday night, The Utah Film Critics Association (UFCA) awarded “Mad Max: Fury Road” top honors in three categories; Best Picture, Best Director (George Miller) and Best Cinematography (John Seale).

Best Actor went to Leonardo DiCaprio as Hugh Glass, a mountain man desperately trying to survive after a bear attack in “The Revenant” while Brie Larson took the Best Actress vote for her role in “Room” as a kidnapping victim, confined with her son to a single room.

Disney/ Pixar’s “Inside Out” took two categories; Best Animated Film and Best Original Screenplay.
