MORTON COUNTY, N.D., Oct. 10, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — “Divergent” star Shailene Woodley has been arrested for trespassing during a peaceful protest in North Dakota.
According to TMZ, Woodley was arrested during what she called a “peaceful protest” in Sioux County, North Dakota. Several other people were arrested along with the actress while they were on a construction site for the pipeline project.
A Federal appeals court recently rejected the request to stop the construction on a pipeline that would cross the sacred Standing Rock Sioux land and burial grounds, the decision prompted the protesters to act.
