Happy Days Star Al Molinaro Passes Away at 96

LOS ANGELES, CALIFRONIA – October 30, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Al Molinaro, who played the beloved hamburger cook and owner of the local hang out on “Happy Days,” has passed away at 96.

Molinaro portrayed “Big Al” Delvecchio, the owner of Arnold’s drive-in, in the 70’s TV series. He also appeared in the “Happy Days” spinoffs “Joani Loves Chachi” and “LaVerne and Shirley.”

Molinaro was a regular face on TV in the 70’s and 80’s. He once said bout his career, “I spent twenty years here before I got anything going, and from that I got lucky. It takes a lot of luck in show business too. You’ve just got to be lucky and in the right place at the right time.”

Molinaro was seen on TV shows like “Bewitched,” “The Love Boat,” Love American Style,” “Green Acres” and “That Girl.”

Michael, the actor’s son confirmed the Molinaro’s death in a statement and said that Molinaro suffered from bad gall stones.
