NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (UPI) — Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz’s son Egypt appears to share his parents’ knack for music.

The 6-year-old recently composed and performed his first song, “Super-boy,” on piano, as Swizz Beatz revealed in an Instagram post Monday.

“Proud Dad Alert. Egy wrote his 1st song Super-boy,” he captioned a video of Egypt’s performance. “Wait for the fancy fingers at the end. Kids you gotta love em #Dedication #hardwork EGY-Keys-Beatz.”

Keys and Beatz married in 2010 after more than a year of dating, and also share 11-month-old son Genesis Ali. Keys told E! News in September that Egypt has started to discover and explore his interests.

“The thing that I guess is always true is as a young person, you do what you see. You kind of pick up what’s around you. I know that they’re picking up stuff, but I don’t know how exactly aware they are, and I like that,” she said.

“I love them to just be able to be innocent and start to create their own world and what the world looks like for them. I hope that eventually they’ll start to know more and more — who I am — and that’s part of it,” the star added.

Keys last released the album “Here” on Nov. 4, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The 35-year-old singer also serves as a coach on “The Voice” Season 11, which airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
