LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 (UPI) — Angelina Jolie hired crisis manager Judy Smith — who inspired Shonda Rhimes‘ Olivia Pope character on “Scandal” — to help navigate her divorce from Brad Pitt.

“(Smith) is typically a calming, non-combative influence,” a source told E! News. “Certainly seems like someone to give better advice than what she has apparently been getting.”

Smith, who also serves as a producer for “Scandal,” has worked with other celebrities like Michael Vick, Paula Dean, and Monica Lewinsky in the midst of their respective scandals.

Jolie has also hired celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser. Pitt has retained the services of Lance Spiegel in preparation for the upcoming battle.
