Anne Meara, Ben Stiller’s Mom, Dead at 85
LOS ANGELES, CA – May 24, 2014 (Gephardt Daily) – Anne Meara, American  actress and comedian, has died at the age of 85.

Meara, mother of actor-director Ben Stiller, and wife of comedy partner, Ben Stiller, passed away Saturday.
News of Meara’s passing came by way of a brief family statement. It did not mention a cause of death.
Meara worked with her husband, Jerry, as part of the husband and wife comedy team, Stiller and Meara, for more than sixty years. The couple rose to fame in the early 1960’s appearing on numerous TV programs, including “The Ed Sullivan Show.”
In addition to husband, Jerry, and son, Ben, Meara is survived by her daughter, Amy.
