LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4 (UPI) — Aubrey Plaza has opened up about her relationship with Michael Cera detailing how she almost married the actor while in Las Vegas.
“Oh, Michael. I dated him for a long time,” the “Parks and Recreation” star explained in an interview on RuPaul’s podcast with Michelle Visage “What’s the Tee” after RuPaul mentioned that he found Cera “sexy.”
After clarifying that the pair dated for “a year and a half,” Plaza then shared how they were close to tying the knot and how she orginally fell for her “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” costar during a cross country road trip.
“We drove across the country after we shot that movie and almost got married in Vegas,” she said.
“He’s a very special, I mean we love each other,” Plaza continued.”We’re still really good friends. He’s just a weird little freak and we speak the same language. He’s one of the funniest people I know.”
“He wasn’t someone I ever saw and thought, ‘Oh, give me some of that Michael Cera,'” she said. “I wasn’t like that. We just connected and after, it just happened.”
Plaza last made headlines in August when she detailed how a debilitating stroke she had at 20 changed her approach to life.
