Behind the Scenes of “Shaun The Sheep: The Movie”
June 27, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Based on the popular TV series, Shaun is a sheep who doesn’t follow the flock – in fact, he leads them into all sorts of scrapes and scraps, turning peace in the valley into mayhem in the meadow. Shaun and his pals run rings around their poor sheepdog Bitzer, as he tries to stop the Farmer finding out what’s going on behind his back. Every day brings a new adventure for Shaun.
When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for, including a mix up with the Farmer, a caravan and a very steep hill that leads them all to the Big City. And it’s up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
Aardman Entertainment’s newest stop-motion film “Shaun the Sheep: The Movie” opened earlier this year at The Sundance Film Festival. The film uses old-style stop-motion where a human moves the characters slightly for each frame of film. Aardman Entertainment believes that this kind of movement looks better and is more conducive to comedy.
“Shaun the Sheep: The Movie” opens in theaters August 7th. It’s rated PG.
