LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 (UPI) — Ben Affleck and Jason Momoa celebrated Friday after wrapping their movie “Justice League.”
The co-stars, who play Batman and Aquaman in the DC cinematic universe, threw back some beers with director Zack Snyder and the cast and crew after they finished filming in Iceland.
“My man. The batman love ya bud @benaffleck we did it that’s a wrap Mahalo to @guinness and @highlandparkofficial for taking care of aquaman and the JL crew,” Momoa captioned a photo of himself with Affleck on Instagram.
“Mad crazy love for Gal Ezra Ray Henry and Ben It’s been an honor JL wrap,” he added to another picture, referencing co-stars Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Henry Cavill.
Gadot, Miller, Fisher and Cavill portray Wonder Woman, the Flash, Cyborg and Superman, respectively, in the movie. The film also features Amber Heard as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis and Aquaman’s wife.
Justice League is based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name. Snyder, who previously helmed “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” had compared the film to “The Magnificent Seven” in June.
“You guys know I’m a fan of ‘Magnificent Seven’ and team-making movies,” the director told Collider. “It’s fun for me to finally get to this point now in the progression of these three movies where we are building a team and making the “Justice League.”
“Justice League” opens in theaters Nov. 17, 2017. A solo “Aquaman” film will follow July 27, 2018, with “Justice League 2” slated for June 14, 2019.
