Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter Welcome “Cumber-baby!”
London – June 14, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Actor Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter welcomed a new baby boy into the Cumberbatch home on Saturday.
The couple, who married earlier this year, said in a statement they were “delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son”.
The actor was recently honored with a CBE in the ‘Queen’s Birthday Honours List’ for services to the performing arts and charity.
Cumberbatch, 38, and his wife have asked the media to respect their privacy and photos of their new son will be released soon.
The international star was nominated for an Oscar last year for his role in “The Imitation Game” and is best known for his portrayal of “Sherlock Homes” in the BBC Series “Sherlock.”
He and his wife, actress / director Sophie Hunter, were married on February 14, 2015 at the 12th century Church of St. Peter and St. Paul on the Isle of Wight .
