LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16 (UPI) — Billy Bob Thornton said the rumors of an alleged affair with Amber Heard are “completely false” after Heard’s estranged husband, Johnny Depp, wrote a cryptic message on a mirror linking the two together.

According to TMZ, Depp accidentally cut off the tip of his finger during a 2015 argument with Heard in which he accused her of having an affair with her “London Fields” co-star Billy Bob Thornton.

Depp then reportedly used a mixture of blood and paint to write “Billy Bob” and “Easy Amber” on a bathroom mirror.

Thornton told TMZ on Tuesday that the rumors are untrue and that he and Heard did not socialize on the set of the film.

Heard and Depp are in the midst a bitter divorce, with Heard claiming that Depp was abusive during their marriage.

On Sunday, Heard released a statement saying she had no part in the release of a video that appears to show an enraged Depp slamming cabinet doors and yelling at Heard.

Heard was deposed on Saturday after she was forced to delay her court appearance. She is seeking a permanent restraining order against Depp, to whom she was married for just over a year.
