NEW YORK, Aug. 10 (UPI) — Blake Lively doesn’t buy into society’s post-baby body ideals.

The 28-year-old actress weighed in on the pressure new moms feel to lose weight in an interview with Sunrise while discussing her slim post-baby appearance in “The Shallows.”

“It’s so unfair, though, because it’s so celebrated: ‘This is what someone can look like after having a baby,'” Lively said of the hype over her looks. “And I think a woman’s body after having a baby is pretty amazing.”

“You don’t need to be Victoria’s Secret ready right away because you just did the most incredible miracle that life has to offer. I mean, you gave birth to a human being. I’d really like to see that celebrated,” she added.

Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds had welcomed their first child, daughter James, 10 months before the actress started filming “The Shallows.” The movie is ocean-based thriller that features Lively in a bikini.

“That movie was an athletic event as much as it was an acting job because they didn’t hire a stunt double until the last two weeks,” the star previously told “Live with Kelly.” “It was just insane underwater stunts.”

Lively is pregnant with her second child and debuted her baby bump at the Cannes International Film Festival in May. She told “Today” the next month she and Reynolds want an even bigger family, joking, “We’re officially breeders!”
