Brooklyn creamery creates ‘Gilmore Girls’ ice cream flavor

BROOKLYN, N.Y., Nov. 10 (UPI) — Ample Hills Creamery has created a new ice cream flavor in honor of the “Gilmore Girls,” called “They Scoop Gilmores, Don’t They?”

The name of the ice cream is a play on the season three episode, “They Shoot Gilmores, Don’t They?”

The coffee and chocolate pudding flavored ice cream received more than 2,000 votes from fans who took part in Ample Hills’ “Gilmore Girls” ice cream contest.

“Coffee (of course) chocolate pudding ice cream (because Emily is trying after all) but oy, with the snickerdoodles already– topped with pink [Pop Tart] sprinkles,” Ample Hills said on Instagram of the winning flavor. “There were so many excellent options, puns and flavor combinations that we couldn’t choose just one. The winning flavor is an amalgamation of three amazing suggestions.”

The ice cream is available at all of Ample Hills’ New York locations and can also be shipped nationwide in individual pints and in a four-pack called “Where You Lead, I Will Marshmallow.”

The ice cream’s artwork, drawn by Ample Hills creative director Lauren Kaelin features Lorelei and Rory Gilmore in Luke’s Diner.
