Joining Campbell for the ride, which will last 10 episodes, are director/ producer Sam Raimi (Spider-Man and Oz: The Great and Powerful) and producer Rob Tapert.

Raimi directs the premiere episode and will executive produce the series along with Campbell.

“The ‘band’ is kind of back together… and we hope the fans embrace the fact that this is authentic,” Campbell said in his interview with me. ”

In the cast are Jill Marie Jones, Dana DeLorenzoRay Santiago and Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess).

The first episode of “Ash vs The Evil Dead” premieres on STARZ Channel (check local listings) Halloween night, October 31.

The series picks up many years after the events in “Evil Dead: Army of Darkness,” where Ash is still working as a stock boy. Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and hiding from the terrors of the Evil Dead until a ‘Deadite’ plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and guess who becomes mankind’s only hope.
