LOS ANGELES, Aug. 24 (UPI) — Candace Cameron Bure is feeling proud of her only daughter, Natasha Bure.

The 40-year-old actress confirmed the 18-year-old auditioned for “The Voice” Season 12 in an Instagram post Tuesday, nearly a month after Natasha was first linked to the NBC reality competition.

“It’s true! My daughter @natashabure auditioned for The Voice! Tune in September 19th to see if she made a team. #ProudMama,” the star wrote after Natasha shared an “I Auditioned” post on her own account.

Sources had told Us Weekly in July that Natasha had tried out for Season 12. Bure declined to confirm the rumor at the time, but did suggest her daughter join Adam Levine or Blake Shelton‘s team.

“I would probably say between Adam and Blake, because the other two judges rotate. So maybe one that is there all the time,” she told the magazine.

“Everyone they have on that show is unbelievable,” the star qualified. “I love watching that show. Adam’s a cutie and so is Blake. They are adorable together.”

Bure and husband Valeri Bure, who married in 1996, are also parents to two sons, 16-year-old son Lev and 14-year-old Maksim.

The actress herself is no stranger to reality competitions, having appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 18.
