CBS releases trailer for JonBenét true crime docuseries

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 (UPI) — CBS released a trailer for its new true crime docuseries, “The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey.”

The series will interview experts of the case that has remained unsolved since the 6-year-old beauty queen was discovered dead in her basement on Christmas in 1996.

“The Case of” will feature interviews with former New York City prosecutor, retired FBI supervisory special agent and profiler Jim Clemente; forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee; former chief investigator for the District Attorney in Boulder, Colo., James Kolar; forensic pathologist Dr. Werner Spitz; and retired FBI supervisory special agent and forensic linguistic profiler James Fitzgerald who were all involved in the original investigation.

Ramsey’s brother Burke, who was 9-years-old at the time of the murder, will appear on “Dr. Phil” in a three-part series to discuss his personal knowledge of the case .

Lifetime is also planning to air an original TV movie this fall called “Who Killed JonBenét?,” and will star Payton Lepinski, Eion Bailey, Michel Gill and Julia Campbell.
