PASADENA, Calif., Aug. 21 (UPI) — Comedian and talk-show host Chris Hardwick has married actress Lydia Hearst in Pasadena.
People magazine said Hearst wore a pink gown created by Christian Siriano, while Hardwick donned a dapper Prada tuxedo for Saturday’s occasion, which was attended by about 450 guests.
“The Talking Dead,” “Talking Saul” and “Talking Preacher” host took time Friday to go on Facebook and explain his and his bride’s requests regarding wedding gifts.
“WE’RE GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW!!!” Hardwick wrote in his post. “Thank you for all your well-wishes and wonderful words lately! Some of you have even gone so far as to ask where we’re registered (which is very sweet) so I’m sharing this…@lydiahearst and I are incredibly fortunate people and didn’t feel right taking gifts from anyone so our wedding registry instead is a menu of five wonderful charities that we asked our guests to pick any or all of to make a donation toward: St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (@stjude), Operation Smile (@operationsmile), GLAAD (@glaad), Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (@egpaf) & Best Friends Animal Society (@bestfriendsanimalsociety). If you’re feeling generous and able, this support of others is the best way to support us on our magical day! No matter what, we appreciate you!!!”
Later, the couple shared via social media a sweet photo of themselves kissing at their wedding rehearsal.
On Saturday, Hardwick — a pop-culture expert and sci-fi uber-fan — posted a photo of special, water bottles that would be available at the gala.
“Our wedding planner @mindyweiss got us these water bottles with our initials in the shape of the TARDIS. It’s the little touches! #AllonsyHydration,” Hardwick said.
