Feb. 10 (UPI) — Christine Baranski wants to play Betsy DeVos on late-night TV.
“It would seem somewhat logical — we have that strong jawline, don’t we?” Baranski noted.
“I can play people with whom I drastically disagree,” she added. “The [SNL] sketches have been unbelievable all through the election, and the post-election. So yeah, we could have a revolving door of people playing the cabinet members and all.”
Television personality Rosie O’Donnell had offered Monday to play Trump adviser Steve Bannon after Melissa McCarthy portrayed Sean Spicer on the Feb. 4 episode of “SNL.” She changed her Twitter profile picture to a fan photo of herself as Bannon on Thursday.
“Just the mere speculation & possibility will accomplish so much leaving him on edge waiting hahaahahaha doesn’t even need to!” one fan tweeted in response.
“My thoughts exactly – u know they watch it – cuddled together in short bathrobes in the Lincoln bedroom – eating fast food – tweeting #love,” O’Donnell wrote back.
Baranski is known for playing Diane Lockhart on “The Good Wife,” and will reprise the role on the CBS All Access spinoff “The Good Fight.” The actress told Vanity Fair her character would be “outraged” by recent political events.
