June 20 (UPI) — Dave Grohl invited his 8-year-old daughter Harper onstage to play drums at a Foo Fighters concert in Iceland on Father’s Day Sunday.

“About two weeks ago, my daughter said, ‘Daddy, I want to play the drums.’ And I said, ‘Ok— you want me to teach you?’ and she said ‘Yes,'” Grohl told the audience. “And then I said, ‘Do you want to get up on front of 20,000 people in Iceland and play?’ And she said ‘Yes.'”

Grohl, founder and frontman of the Foo Fighters, was the drummer for Nirvana.

Harper drummed along with the band to Queen’s “We Will Rock You” — the first song she learned to drum to. Her performance won Queen’s approval as the band tweeted a video of the performance.

The Foo Fighters released a new single and video earlier this month for the song “Run,” which is expected to be the first release from the Foo Fighters potential ninth studio album.
