GLENDALE, Calif., Jan. 12, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Disney star Michael Galeota has passed away, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The “Jersey” star was 31. Galeota was hospitalized last week after complaining of abdominal pains, according to TMZ, which was the first outlet to report the news.
Galeota reportedly left the hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 6, against doctors’ advice, and was found dead inside his Glendale, Calif., home by a friend on Jan. 10. TMZ reports that Galeota’s friend went to his home after friends were unable to reach him.
The “Clubhouse Detectives” star suffered from hypertension and high cholesterol, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office told E! News.
Galeota was best known for his role in the series “The Jersey,” which ran from 1999 to 2004. He also appeared in “Clubhouse Detectives” in 1996 and the “Ally McBeal” pilot in 1997.
