Early Box Office Predictions Say ‘Mockingjay Part 2’ Will Earn Over $120 Million Opening Weekend

HOLLYWOOD, November 20, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) ─ Its no surprise the final chapter of “The Hunger Games” is going to be big box office.

“Mockingjay Part 2,” which opened Thursday took in just over $16 million dollars and has already brought in about $43 million dollars worldwide. According to Box Office Mojo, the film opened at No.1 throughout Europe and China.

Opening on 4000 screens across the U.S.A., experts are calculating the dystopian action / drama will deliver between $120 – $125 million dollars in ticket sales, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“The Hunger Games” film series is based on the novels by Suzanne Collins and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Julianne Moore, Jenna Malone and Donald Sutherland.
