Eddie Montgomery’s 19-Year-Old Son Hunter Dies After Accident

NASHVILLE, Sept. 27 (UPI) — Hunter Montgomery, the son of country-music star Eddie Montgomery, has died at the age of 19, following an accident.

“My son Hunter went to heaven today,” Montgomery said in a statement Sunday. “I appreciate all your prayers and love and thank you for giving us privacy as we grieve and say goodbye.”

Montgomery offered no details regarding the circumstances or timing of the tragic incident, but he did say his child had been on life support in a Kentucky hospital before he died.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
