HOLLYWOOD – October 28, 2015 — (UPI) — Actress and director Elizabeth Banks has been confirmed to helm the third installment of the Pitch Perfect franchise.
According to reports, it has been confirmed Banks will join actresses Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson for the return of the Bellas in the musical comedy. The director and Magic Mike XXL actress also led the project’s second installment, Pitch Perfect 2, earning the franchise $285.2 million in the worldwide box office this year.
Originally, it was unclear whether Banks would return to the project that made her directorial debut a success due to several outside productions including Red Queen and a Charlie’s Angels reboot.
